Plugin Updates
A typical WordPress site depends on a couple of dozen plugins, each written by a different author and each updated on its own schedule. We keep them current, and keep an eye on the ones that have stopped being looked after.
Why do I need this?
Most successful attacks on WordPress sites come through a plugin, not through WordPress itself. Plugins also break each other: an update to one can quietly stop another from working, and you may not notice until a customer tells you the checkout or the contact form has failed.
How does a Maverick website maintenance plan help?
Plugin updates are included in every plan. We back up before updating, apply updates in a controlled way and test the parts of the site each plugin touches. When a plugin has been abandoned by its author, or has become a risk, we tell you and suggest a replacement. Alongside security monitoring, this closes the door most intruders use.
